Introducing Can O Corn tm, a revolutionary T-ball and Baseball Training Aid designed to build your child's confidence and teach them how to properly close the glove on the ball. It will help children overcome the fear of being hit with a thrown ball which leads to 'shying away' and not watching the ball into the glove. It can also be used as a batting practice aid for younger children. It's soft core will help the child stay in the batters box and avoid 'bailing out'.
Our patent pending design is comprised of a regulation sized split grain cowhide shell and true cotton stitching around our proprietary bead core. This bead core allows the ball to conform to the shape of the glove's pocket, which gives the child an extra split second to close the glove on the ball. This builds "glove confidence" and catching proficiency. When a child is more confident in their ability they have a better youth baseball experience and are more likely to continue with baseball.

Sponge-rubber 'Safety Balls' and tennis balls have the opposite effect in that they hit the glove's pocket and bounce out, often having the child close the glove on air after the ball has left the pocket. The bead core also makes the ball less likely to hurt if the catch is missed giving the parent or thrower more confidence to make a good toss. With repetition this will build your T-ball, Shetland, or Pee-wee players glove confidence and enhance his or her enjoyment of the game. There are several training aids available to teach hitting and pitching, but this is the only product that we know of that is designed to aid in one of the most fundamental aspects of baseball or softball - catching a thrown ball !

Q: Ever since I was a little kid, I've heard a lazy fly ball referred to as a "can of corn." Where did this odd little phrase originate?

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the [Can O Corn]ball. The ability of the ball to conform to small hands and "stick" in a glove when caught are terrific qualities for teaching young players. Also, because it compresses upon impact if a players should miss it they won't become "ball shy". I like the "reduced injury factor" when utilizing a training aid with young players. I think it would also be ideal for use in some of the bare hand drills we utilize to reinforce catching & fielding with two hands. "The beauty of the COCtm is that is removes the fear of getting hit and allows the child to focus on building fundamental fielding skills that will become automatic to them when they move to the hard ball" - R. Van Beber Travel Team Coach, Pickneyville, GA

"Even though I didn't have time to do a proper break-in that night we still had instant success. We have one little girl that couldn't turn her head far enough when the ball came her way. Then after about five min. of COCtm training she was starting to catch great without taking her eyes off the ball, and my boy is also catching great. You definitely have the best teaching aid for catching. I really could have used a Can O Corn when I was young." Thank You. Ray N., North Ft. Meyers, FL

"I think COCtm has been helpful with my 11 yr. old all star in developing arm strength for that jump to the next age group. Due to him having to throw it harder to get average velocity." - K. Newman parent, Buford, GA

"I love the confidence that I saw my 5 year old build in his glove with the COCtm and a huge side benefit is that his worst throws back to me didn't roll as far as a regular baseball" - Bob V. Parent, Norcross, GA
