Tips and Drills using your  Can O Corn tm Baseball

Warm-up Drills  - Your Patent Pending Can O Corn tm is ideal for use in warm-ups before practice and games. It can be used in those small spaces on the outside of the fence without fear of seriously  beaming a passerby or younger sibling. Its reduced roll will keep it from getting away and your team will get more catches during warm-ups.

P
IVOT RACE - One of our favorite wake-up drills on Team Can O Corn tm  is to split the team in half and line the kids up down the 1st and 3rd baselines spacing them out evenly. Try to arrange the players so that they alternate 'strong glove', 'weak glove' with the strongest player standing on Home Plate. Space the children according to ability. A less experienced team will space out to just beyond 1st and 3rd base. A more experience team may make it to the outfield fence. Give the player on Home a Can O Corn tm and give the player at the end of the 3rd base line a Can O Corntm . On 'GO!' the player at home throws the ball to the first player down the 1st base line and the kid in the outfield starts sending his ball toward home. The ball has to be caught by all of the players if it is dropped and rolls past a player he/she must go get the Can O Corn tm, get back in line, turn and throw it to the next team mate. A race is a complete circuit from Home - Out and back and from the outfield to Home and back. The player at Home plate is the pivot man.

Do this race 2 or 3 times and You will be surprised how awake and ready to go the kids are!
